- Jahanpanah City Forest:
Jahanpanah City Forest is the best place to enjoy a peaceful time with nature. It is extended to about 435 acres. It is one of the dense forests in the city with rich flora and fauna. The lush forest stretches over the areas of Chirag Delhi, Sheikh Sarai, Dhobi Ghat, Batre Gate, Tughlakabad Extension and Greater Kailash II.
It is under the control of the Delhi Development Authority. You can see many people doing exercises, walking, jogging and practicing yoga. It is advised not to explore after a certain distance in the forest, as there may be chances to be lost there. - Sanjay Van:
Sanjay Van lies near Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj spread over an area of 783 acres and is a part of the south-central ridge. A wide array of bird species will be found in this forest. This is the perfect place for bird enthusiasts. You can gaze a variety of birds like Grey-breasted Prinia, Indian silverbill, Brahminy starling, Asian Koel and Purple Sunbird.

- Tughlaqabad Ridge Forest:
Tughlaqabad Ridge Forest is also known as southern Ridge Forest. It is a home of several plant species, 193 bird species and Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot various animals like naped hare, jackals, porcupine, civets, jackals, blue bull, jungle cats and blackbuck. It contains more than 80 species of butterflies. The Southern Ridge Forest expands over an area of 6,200 hectares.
- Mangar Bani Forest:
Mangar Bani Forest is surrounded by Aravalli hills and is located along the Faridabad-Gurgaon highway. It expands to an area of about 100 hectares.It is a popular story that Gudariya Baba, hermit of great esteem to the villagers. He dictates the villagers about preserving the forest by avoiding the livestock to graze in the forest and cutting down the trees. It is strictly followed by the villagers until now.
Mangar Bani forest serves as a catchment for several lakes like Badhkal, Surajkund and Damdama. It will also serve as a wildlife corridor between the Sariska national park in Rajasthan and Asola sanctuary in Delhi.
